The Chess Park opened July 2004, and has 16 concrete chess tables with black-and-white inlaid boards. It also features five light towers made of synthetic canvas and recycled plastic and wood. Each tower represents a different chess piece; King, Queen, Rook, Knight, and Pawn.

The Stengel Ballfield has many features. It is lighted for night-time play, and the facility has lockers rooms, restrooms, an electronic scoreboard and a snack bar. The playing dimensions of the field are 350 feet down the lines and 400 feet to the straightaway center, and the stadium seats 1,800 spectators.

The Glendale Sports Complex is a 27-acre park, and opened in April of 1999. The park contains two artificial turf soccer fields, one baseball field, two softball fields, a concession/restroom building, and a meeting room.

The Verdugo Skate Park opened in April of 2004, and has skate classes that are offered throughout the year. The park is a 15,000 square foot concrete facility, 6 - 9 ft. Clover Bowl with 11 ft. over vert section, 6-10 ft. Kidney Pool, Street Plaza with rails and ledges, Snake Run that lets out into a 9 ft. bowl with a loveseat. In-line skaters and skateboarders must wear a helmet, kneepads and elbow pads, and all participants must have a valid release of liability on file. Youth 17 years and younger require a parent/guardian signature.
